Having a website without an image is useless. Your site will not be attractive enough that people will just walk away. Unless the content is very interesting, the site will never reach the top of Google results. Your client might not like your work either. But I understand your difficulty... You want to do something new, to insert new and original illustrations on your site. But, creating websites is now part of your daily life that you have trouble finding inspiration in 2020.

Why find inspiration?

Beware, some images on Google may be inspiring, but they are not necessarily free. If you take a protected image and put it on your website, it will be a theft. So, if you want to go to Google to find beautiful photos, images, illustrations..., you will have to use the advanced search option and filter the results to royalty-free or distribution-free images.

At some point, you may get tired of it. Especially when you see your competitors' sites, your other clients' sites... they're just GREAT! They've come up with some really original artwork.

But the owners of these sites are like you and me: they are not designers. So how did they find inspiration in 2020? Maybe they have a library of inspirations ? In any case, that's what I suggest.

Finding inspiration in 2020 is easy

I recently created a template that is used to find illustrations for web design projects. It is totally free! More than 20 resources are there, those I use in my creations. This library will not stop at 20 resources, I will update it regularly.

How do I get there?

Do you remember when I told you about the Happydesk dashboard and the main reasons why you should integrate this platform ? Well, they are still valid today. Indeed, this template to find inspiration in 2020 is there, more precisely under the tab: illustration. As I explained in the other article, the other tabs are accessible. Each of them has its own advantage, but I'll let you discover it by yourself.

In short, to access it, you will have to register as a freelancer (if you haven't already done so). It's done in a few steps; just fill in your details and check your emails. :)

• humaaans
• blush

Each of them offers a free plan. However, the features are interesting. For example, you can:

• generate your own doodles
• customize the doodles to make them even more original
• and many others

I'll continue to take an example of a website where you can get inspiration (and obviously, it's present in the illustration library): Freepik. The principle is the same as the other platforms mentioned above: you choose the colors of the illustrations yourself, in order to produce authentic, original illustrations...

What is the point of putting illustrations on your site?

I suggest you create a site without illustrations and design another one with illustrations (of course, using the tip to find inspiration in 2020 that I just gave you ;) ). You'll see for yourself thata simple illustration can make all the difference ! Indeed, catchy titles, relevant and topical subjects... don't have enough weight if they are not accompanied by beautiful images. So, thanks to these images, you automatically add value to your project.

Internet users will be attracted to the site (regardless of the target audience). And still, when they just fly over your site, they will be forced to stay on certain points, on the illustrations they like.

Conclusion
An illustrated site is better than a site without images. Only it will be necessary to choose well its illustrations, and to take care that they are free of rights and of quality. Inspiration is therefore important, that's why I prepared the template on the Happydesk dashboard. I also don't tell you about the benefits that await you: even more traffic, more sales, more frequent contacts, etc. In short, satisfied customers.
