Now you have made up your mind! You want to become a freelance webdesigner, specialized in Webflow. But there is a problem. You don't know if you should continue on your way and not follow a webflow training in French or if you should choose an adapted training.
I admit, the choice is complicated if you are used to learning everything on your own.
In your opinion, is it necessary to follow a training to become a Webflow expert?
Yes, it has to be!
No, if you are well self-taught, you can always become so.

It's true that there are a lot of tutorials about Webflow on the web, especially on YouTube. Indeed, the videos are easier to assimilate, so you will learn very quickly.
I myself started there, which is the Webflow videos on YouTube. After all, nobody is born an expert 😉 I have to admit something though. I struggled a bit at first.
Most of the videos are in English. If you are bilingual, you are lucky. However, those who only speak French will have a little trouble. That's why I created a series of 5 videos on my YouTube channel (all tutorials are in French).
This way, you will go faster. After a few days, you will be able to create a professional website. Besides these 5 videos, I also talk about Webflow from time to time in my articles. Don't hesitate to follow me!
So what about paid training? Just like the videos on YouTube, there are quite a few, but most of them are still in English. Fortunately for those who only speak French, I still offer a more complete training in Webflow and in French.
Since I've been using Webflow for a while, I'll share with you a lot of tips (in order to go faster in your learning). Of course, the training is about Webflow, but other parts talk about how to develop your business with Webflow?
Once the training is over, your freelancing business can take off without any worries!
In short, we will kill two birds with one stone. Firstly, the more the course progresses, the more you will know how to design a website via Webflow. Secondly, managing your business will be a breeze, zero stress. I'm sure you'll like it. Anyway, when I was starting out as a freelancer, I really wish I had had such a training.
To be honest, you are the only one who can choose the best type of training for you. I don't force anyone, my role is limited to giving advice, and that's all.
Both courses are in French. So if language is your main obstacle, one thing is settled for you. Start with the free one. Then you'll see for yourself.
In any case, I advise you to see training as an investment (both paid and free). Why? In the paid training, you invest part of your money. In the free training, it is mainly your time that is spent. And in both cases, they allow you to evolve quickly, and thus, earn more money quickly. On the other hand, staying in your little corner testing everything and anything, without the help of an expert in the field or videos, takes a lot of time. And I say this from experience.
As you've probably seen in my other guides and videos, I never dwell on purely theoretical courses; I know that it scares people away. On the contrary, you will leave each course, guide or video very satisfied. All the tips and tricks are immediately applicable. I show you concretely what you have to do, the ways to proceed to manage a web project... In short, like me, you will know how to create a website in 5 steps.
I don't have a lot to say about free training. There are some that are on video, so you do what you want. You watch them while you're exercising, or you watch the videos first and then try to replicate everything that was done in them. And it's the same thing with the free text guides.
For the paid training, it is done online. You don't have to go anywhere to take advantage of it (by the way, covid19 requires it 😭 ). Once you have registered, you have your login to access the course. And the courses are available immediately.
Even though everything is done online, you will be accompanied throughout the training. You will also have access to our private community, not to mention the weekly live call sessions we have together.
We won't just talk about business. If you want, there will be coffee break sessions from time to time.
For now, there is only one course: Getting Started. As the name suggests, it really helps you get started, as a freelancer. For the courses in question, they are very thorough. Everything you need to know about website creation is there:
And I'm not talking about the little bonuses I have in store for you 💫.
At the end of the training, you become a webflow expert.
This course is for anyone who wants to become a webdesigner. Whether you already have a good base or not, you are always welcome. My students are composed of all kinds of people: there are those who know nothing of this world while there are those who have already been in the business.
As I am also interested in Webflow, there are those who will think that they cannot follow the training because they prefer Wordpress or Wix. However, if you are curious by nature, you can join us. Then you will have a clear idea of what Webflow really offers. This will help you to make a better choice. And if you don't change your mind, but you prefer another CMS, at least you will have learned new things about Webflow, that you can eventually apply elsewhere. This is already very important. This little experience will always help you in your career.
Unlike other CMS, Webflow is not open source. This means that it respects the ISO 27001 standard. You can be sure that all the sites you design on it are safe. This will make it easier to convince your clients to design their site on this CMS.
As you will not need any additional extensions, because all the design is done internally (automatic creation of codes), your data is protected. Indeed, the possibilities of attacks and hacking are reduced.
However, we are never safe from ill-intentioned people who always manage to infiltrate the platform. Don't panic. Just contact Webflow and they will take care of everything. In any case, so far, Webflow has not experienced any such complication.
For those who want to specialize in the creation of design e commerce sites, I recommend Webflow. The latter uses exclusively the Stripe API, the leader in the electronic transactions market.
Finally, it often happens that some members of the team make mistakes. In case the CMS used did not save everything, the rest of the team pays the price: we have to redo all the work. Fortunately, Webflow avoids these situations. It has a triple redundancy backup system, which means that all modifications (even small ones) are saved.
You know, I use Webflow every day, and I have for many years 😊 Isn't that reason enough to trust me, and eventually subscribe to my Webflow training in French? If you want to have an overview of my works, start by looking at my website 😛 And then, I have a portfolio page on the site itself.
However, if you think you're not ready for the training yet, that doesn't stop you from following the other tips I offer in my YouTube videos and on this blog. An example of these tips: how to have a fulfilling life, how to start a projectetc.
Finally, I speak French in my classes!
In short, now that you have all the cards in your hand, I'll leave it to you to choose the best course possible. What suits you may not suit others, and vice versa. So I can't force you to take a paid Webflow course or prevent you from watching the free courses. That's why it would be better for you to test it for yourself.
I think I've said too much 😅. As for the rest, I'll let you find out for yourself. And for more details, it's this way here.
