Maybe you are already a Webflow fan and work with several clients. Or maybe you are interested in Webflow. One thing is sure, you want to know the latest news about Webflow...
I can't wait to see it with you!
The annual No-Code Conf 2021 conference has just taken place and I wanted to share with you what's new and what I think about it. You have to know that we were expecting a lot of things because the annual event is THE time where Webflow unveils the BIG announcements.
This year, the event was 100% online and the access was free. Click here to attend the next event
Webflow's membership is made possible by three new features that they have integrated directly into the Designer...
By adding users to your site, you will be able to manage your user database directly from the Webflow Designer, and you will be able to customize transactional emails, such as password resets, as well as all the pages necessary for a smooth user experience such as registration and login.
Allows you to create total control over what content you will or will not give access to depending on the user who is logged in.
The ability to charge a user or group of users for access to content, whether it's a one-time payment for lifetime access or a recurring subscription charged monthly or annually. With subscriptions, the possibilities are endless: you can create members-only experiences and customize that experience for your users. If you're a freelancer or agency, you'll now be able to create client-only sections, while having full control over the design.
With this new feature, you'll be able to create automations based on the actions and conditions you define upfront. This means that instead of one thing happening as a result of an action on your site - like submitting a form for example - there can be hundreds of options based on the experience you want to create for your users.
As always, all of this will be handled entirely from the Webflow Designer, without code. This means that you will be able to create and implement intelligent automation without having to hire a developer or write complex code. The logic in Webflow will simply take the rules you define in the Designer, and automatically execute that logic for you. Cool, right?
You will be able to control the way the colors of the stacked elements are blended and preview the changes live. This way, the CSS property of the blending mode is directly integrated in Webflow, saving you time and avoiding the need to manually write custom CSS. The new blend mode is now available in Webflow and you can use it today.
Background filters allow you to create blurred and color-changing effects on the area behind an element by embedding the CSS property backdrop-filter directly in Webflow. The live preview will allow you to quickly view the different options and find your favorite filter. Sites like Apple.com have used this effect to achieve all sorts of looks and designs.
To ensure that teams in Webflow are able to work together seamlessly, Webflow is announcing two additional collaboration features. Workspaces to simplify team growth. To make it easier to create, grow, and modify your team within Webflow, they will consolidate individual and team account plans into a unified plan called "Workspace" that allows you to grow from a team of 1 to any size.
New billing and publishing permissions. In addition to simplicity and scalability, one of the main improvements in Workspaces will be the introduction of new roles and permissions. They will allow you to control who can do what in your account, and even in individual projects.
The performance of your sites will improve significantly for sites with CMS elements and Ecommerce products. Data-intensive sites will also be faster and more agile. With this change, you'll see Designer as being up to 15 times faster than before, with 6 times less memory usage in the browser. You'll also need 86 times less bandwidth when loading.
After a beta release, Webflow has officially launched new audit panel enhancements that make it even easier to create accessible websites for everyone.
