Do you want to know if the marketing strategies you are using on your website are working or not? In that case, I advise you to use Google Analytics. So how do you integrate Google Analytics on Webflow? That is the question.
But before we get into the heart of the matter, I want to remind you what Google Analytics really is (especially for those who don't know it yet).
It belongs to Google. It is one of the many free tools, but its role revolves mainly around your site. Thanks to it, you will be able to analyze a lot of information. Usually, it is the developers who use it. But as a webdesigner who intervenes in the design and creation of site, we must also master it!
If you want to calculate your ROI, measure the effectiveness of your marketing campaigns, etc., you should definitely consider integrating Google Analytics with Webflow.
There is a YouTube video in which I describe this at the bottom of the article. Support me by subscribing to the YouTube channel "Happy Desk Design".
As always, I invite you to go to the dashboard of the concerned Webflow project. Indeed, it is possible to manage several objects at the same time (on Webflow). For free plans on Webflow however, you will be limited to two projects. And for each project, a dashboard is present.
In this dashboard, there is a field in which you will have to copy a tracking code. But where do you get this code? That's where Google Analytics comes in. On your dashboard, you click on "administration", and then, "tracking information".
Under this tab, you will then see the tracking code as UA-000000-2. Copy it and paste it in the dashboard of your Webflow project. This is a javascript snippet that runs in the browser of the users when they visit your site.
Everything is based on the Javascript code you just copied and pasted. In fact, its main role is to gather all the data collected on your website. To facilitate your analysis, this data will then be classified by category:
Maybe you've noticed that on other tutorials and articles that praise the benefits of Google Analytics, it is mentioned that it is quite possible to get more accurate information about users. How is this possible?
You will be surprised to know that Javascript is very effective! This code deposits a cookie on the computer of each visitor. This is how when we succeed in integrating Google Analytics on Webflow, we can have access to data such as: geographical data, age, sex...
Conclusion
In short, there is no reason not to integrate Google Analytics on Webflow. As I just showed you, it's so easy. You can do it in less than 5 minutes only!
